The night in music: three progressive stages from 7 PM to midnight by the Marne
In Nogent-sur-Marne, the Fête de la Musique is a nocturnal journey. Under the theme "The night in music – Nogent vibrates until midnight", the city offers three progressive music stages set up in front of the conservatory, Place de l'Ancien Marché, and Place Lazare Ponticelli. At the Port de Plaisance, the Guinguette des Maquereaux extends the celebration with open-air concerts starting in the afternoon.
In Nogent-sur-Marne, the Fête de la Musique has a unique character. Under the poetic and musical concept of "The night in music – Nogent vibrates until midnight", the city offers every June 21st a progressive musical journey through its streets and squares, where each location embodies a particular moment of the advancing night.
The heart of the program is organized around three open-air stages, active from 7 PM to midnight, allowing visitors to stroll from one stage to another, discovering different musical atmospheres:
The progression between these three spaces creates a natural musical itinerary that invites residents to experience their city differently, after dark, in a spirit of friendly and safe celebration.
Before the main evening, the Port de Plaisance in Nogent-sur-Marne offers its own entertainment starting in the afternoon. The Guinguette des Maquereaux, a must-visit establishment on the banks of the Marne, hosts open-air concerts from 4:30 PM. In 2025, singer Chloé Lecerf performed in this romantic and festive setting by the water.
The association between the Port de Plaisance and the Fête de la Musique recalls the tradition of Nogent's guinguettes which, since the 19th century, have made the town famous as a place of celebration and pleasure on the banks of the Marne. Nogent-sur-Marne is even immortalized in the popular song "Nogent-sur-Marne" sung by Georgette Plana.
Nogent-sur-Marne is one of the most emblematic towns on the banks of the Marne. With its Port de Plaisance, its open-air museum of Maisons-Laffitte, and its past as a Parisian holiday resort, Nogent cultivates a joyful and convivial art of living. The Fête de la Musique fits in as a natural extension of this festive tradition inherited from the guinguettes and popular dances that animated the riverbanks in the early 20th century.
The town is well served by RER A (Nogent–Le Perreux station), making it easy to access from Paris and neighboring towns to enjoy the concerts on June 21st.
