Each year, the village of Presles, in the north of Val-d'Oise between the Carnelle forest and the Oise valley, organizes its big communal festival around the Place de la Gare. Supported by the Office Municipal des Fêtes et Loisirs (OMFL) and numerous local associations, this cultural, family-friendly, and convivial day brings residents together around music, art, dance, and a shared picnic.
Fête de Presles — edition 2026
The Presles 2026 communal festival takes the form of the «Fête des Arts» (Arts Festival) on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Place de la Gare, from 11 AM to 6 PM. A free cultural, family-friendly, and convivial day, organized by the OMFL and village associations, centered around music, art, dance, and a shared picnic.
2026 Edition — Arts Festival on June 20
The 2026 edition of the Presles communal festival will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Place de la Gare, from 11 AM to 6 PM. Focused on art, music, and conviviality, this free day is organized by the Office Municipal des Fêtes et Loisirs (OMFL) with the participation of the Conservatoire (Music and Dance School), the MJC, the ABA theater troupe, and numerous local associations.
On the program: contemporary music by the Conservatoire children, introduction to Zumba and line dancing, a parade of decorated and customized bicycles with a competition, a theatrical performance in period costumes, a hip-hop dance demonstration, an ephemeral choir, as well as exhibitions (photography, paintings, sculptures) at the media library and on the station forecourt (pottery, wooden games, Kapla area, tastings). The opening reception is offered by the City, and everyone is invited to bring their own packed lunch for the shared picnic (tables and chairs available).

Programme Fête de Presles 2026
Saturday, June 20, 2026 — Place de la Gare (11 AM - 6 PM)
- 11 AM - 2 PM — Bicycle registration for the competition, at the OMFL stand
- 11:30 AM — Inauguration of the emblem created by the FCM association, by the Mayor (Meeting point: Impasse de l'école du Nantouillet)
- 12:00 PM — Event opening reception, offered by the City of Presles (OMFL stand)
- From 12:00 PM — Shared picnic: everyone brings their own packed lunch (tables and chairs available)
- 1:30 PM — Contemporary music by the children of the Music Conservatoire
- 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM — Zumba and line dancing initiation with Laura, dance teacher
- 3:30 PM — Departure of the decorated or customized bicycle parade (parents and children)
- 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM — Theatrical performance by ABA «La Locandiera» in period costumes
- 5:00 PM - 5:30 PM — Hip-hop dance demonstration by young dancers from the MJC
- 5:15 PM — Award ceremony for the decorated bicycle competition
- 5:30 PM — Ephemeral choir of the Zozios Migrateurs
Exhibitions & activities all day: at the media library, photography, painting, and sculpture exhibitions; on the station forecourt, sculptures, pottery, tastings, wooden games, and Kapla area.
Outdoor activities may be canceled depending on weather conditions.

Presles celebrates art and conviviality in the heart of the village
Presles is a village in Val-d'Oise located in the north of the department, between the Carnelle national forest and the Oise valley. Each year, its communal festival, organized by the Office Municipal des Fêtes et Loisirs (OMFL) with the help of local associations, enlivens the Place de la Gare for a day. Under the name of « Fête des Arts » (Festival of Arts), this event highlights artistic creation, music, and the connection between generations.
A cultural, family-friendly, and convivial day
The festival brings together young and old around free activities: contemporary music performed by the children of the Conservatory (Maison de la Musique et de la Danse), introduction to Zumba and line dancing, parade of decorated and customized bicycles, theatrical performance in period costumes by the ABA troupe, hip-hop dance demonstration by young dancers from the MJC, and an ephemeral choir. The opening reception offered by the Town and the shared picnic (everyone brings their own packed lunch, tables and chairs available) strengthen the spirit of village conviviality.
Exhibitions and activities
Throughout the day, the media library hosts exhibitions of photographs, paintings, and sculptures, while the station forecourt offers sculptures, pottery, tastings, wooden games, and a Kapla area. Associations participate in the animation and decoration of the village to make this festival a moment shared by the entire commune.
The Carnelle forest nearby
The close proximity of the Carnelle national forest, managed by the Office National des Forêts, is one of Presles' assets: 2,500 hectares of oaks and beeches that constitute a remarkable natural space, accessible from the village and appreciated by walkers.
Practical information
The festival takes place at Place de la Gare, in Presles (95590). By public transport, Presles-Courcelles station (Transilien line H) is very close to the festival location. By car, Presles is accessible via the D4 from L'Isle-Adam or via the D9 from Luzarches; parking is available in the village. Access to activities is free.
