The National Holiday in Bobigny: a popular evening at Parc de la Bergère

Capital of the Seine-Saint-Denis department, Bobigny celebrates the National Holiday every year with a festive and unifying program at the Parc de la Bergère. This vast green space located in the heart of the city hosts thousands of Bobigny residents every July 13th evening for a popular evening mixing live music, dancing ball, and pyrotechnic show.

The tradition is well established: the Parc de la Bergère transforms for the occasion into a large festival area with association stands opening from 5 PM, then a dancing concert at 8:30 PM, and finally the traditional fireworks at 11 PM which marks the highlight of the evening. The pyrotechnic show illuminates the sky of the prefecture city in a burst of colors applauded by the crowd gathered in the park.

A celebration rooted in the city's history

Bobigny, prefecture of Seine-Saint-Denis since 1968, is a city marked by a strong working-class and union history. The National Holiday is experienced here as a moment of citizen gathering, beyond political divisions. The town hall mobilizes local associations to liven up the evening and offer a festive program accessible to all families.

The 2025 edition was marked by the 200th anniversary of the Canal de l'Ourcq, a theme that inspired the evening's musical programming. The group Mister Flo provided a dancing concert mixing French and international variety before the fireworks. The Bobigny association stands enlivened the park's surroundings from mid-afternoon, creating a warm neighborhood festival atmosphere.

Parc de la Bergère, the natural setting for the festivities

Parc de la Bergère is one of Bobigny's green lungs. Covering several hectares, it features varied vegetation, play areas, and sports facilities. Its large central lawn is ideal for hosting major summer gatherings. For July 14th, the cycle path along the park is closed to traffic from 9 PM to 1 AM for safety reasons related to the fireworks.

Bobigny's National Holiday is part of the rich summer calendar offered by the city: the Bobigny Plage Été (Bobigny Summer Beach) season offers animations, concerts, and sports activities for all audiences throughout the summer.
