Fireworks at Parc des Chanteraines on July 13th in Villeneuve-la-Garenne
Villeneuve-la-Garenne (92390), a town in northern Hauts-de-Seine, between Gennevilliers and Épinay-sur-Seine, celebrates the National Holiday every year in the green setting of the Parc des Chanteraines. This 100-hectare departmental park on the banks of the Seine is an ideal location for the July 14th popular gathering.
The Parc des Chanteraines is one of the largest green spaces in Seine-Saint-Denis and Hauts-de-Seine. This 100-hectare park runs along the Seine for several kilometers and offers numerous leisure facilities: ponds, walking paths, playgrounds, and picnic areas. During the summer, it is an essential place for the residents of Villeneuve-la-Garenne and neighboring towns.
On the evening of July 13th, the park transforms into a vast national celebration space. Families gather from the late afternoon to picnic, enjoy the park, and await the pyrotechnic show. At 10:30 PM, the fireworks illuminate the sky with colorful bursts, reflecting in the calm waters of the Seine for a doubly magnified spectacle.
The Fête Nationale de Villeneuve-la-Garenne is above all a family and popular gathering. Thousands of residents from the town and surrounding areas come together at Parc des Chanteraines to share this moment of collective celebration. Children, parents, and grandparents side by side, blankets and picnics spread on the lawn, faces turned towards the fiery sky: this is the image of a popular and festive France that is showcased every July 13th.
The town of Villeneuve-la-Garenne, with its working-class and popular history, gives the Fête Nationale a special dimension: that of a community proudly celebrating its belonging to the Republic, while asserting its own local identity.
Before the fireworks, the municipality organizes activities in the park: open-air concerts, shows for children, food, and drinks. These activities create a festive and friendly atmosphere that extends the anticipation of the pyrotechnic show in a popular fairground ambiance.
Parc des Chanteraines is accessible by bus from Gennevilliers (line 137) or from Épinay-sur-Seine. By car, from the A15 exit Villeneuve-la-Garenne or the RD1. Parking is available at the park entrance.
On July 13, 2026, Parc des Chanteraines will once again host the Fête Nationale de Villeneuve-la-Garenne. Fireworks at 10:30 PM, musical entertainment, and a popular gathering on the banks of the Seine are expected. Detailed program to be announced in June 2026.
