City Festival and National Day: guinguette, entertainment, and fireworks in Courbevoie
Courbevoie annually celebrates its festive life with two major popular events: the City Festival in September at Stade Jean-Pierre Rives, and the National Day on July 13th with a guinguette at Parc de Bécon, children's entertainment, and fireworks. Two free moments of conviviality that bring Courbevoie residents together around their city.
Courbevoie, a town of 80,000 inhabitants on the doorstep of La Défense, livens up its community life with two major popular festive events throughout the year: the City Festival in autumn and the National Day in July. These two completely free events bring residents together in an atmosphere of conviviality and sharing.
The Fête de Courbevoie is the quintessential annual popular event. It takes place every early September at the Stade Jean-Pierre Rives, from morning till night, with a very comprehensive program:
Themed around a different culinary or cultural journey each year, the City Festival offers stands representing cuisines from around the world, sports activities for young people, shows, concerts, family activities, and community events. In 2025, the theme was a culinary tour of the world, with flavors from the five continents to taste throughout the day. The festival continues into the evening with concerts and DJ sets animating the site until 11 PM.
The celebration of July 13-14 in Courbevoie takes the form of a festive, intergenerational evening at the Parc de Bécon. The guinguette spirit permeates the day:
Courbevoie is a city that cultivates its traditions while asserting itself as a resolutely modern city, on the edge of the La Défense business district. Its tree-lined parks (Parc de Bécon, Parc des Pléiades), its historical heritage (Musée Roybet Fould), and its cultural facilities make it a balanced territory where living together is fully expressed during popular festivals.
The City Festival and the National Day are two expressions of this commitment to the collective and shared celebration, in Courbevoie.
