Vincelottes (89290) is an exceptional village on the banks of the Yonne, in the agglomeration of Auxerrois. Its name, from medieval Latin Vini-cellulae (wine cellars), testifies to its historical role as a place for storing and shipping regional wines to Paris via the Yonne river. Today, Vincelottes proudly perpetuates this wine-growing tradition and celebrates its Patronal Festival every April.

A village steeped in wine-growing history

Vincelottes is one of the most beautiful villages in the Auxerrois, bordered by the Yonne river and surrounded by vineyards. Its troglodyte cellars dug into the limestone cliff, its beautiful winegrower residences, and its picturesque quays make it a little-known gem of Burgundy. The Patronal Festival of Vincelottes is organized by the Comité des fêtes (Festival Committee) with the support of the SPL du Pays Coulangeois. It offers:
