The Saint-Michel Festival of Lignac takes place in the exceptional setting of the village of Château Guillaume, dominated by the imposing ruins of the eponymous castle built between 1087 and 1112 by William IX of Aquitaine, the famous troubadour. This patronal festival celebrates Saint Michael every year, around September 29th, the traditional date of Saint Michael in the liturgical calendar.
