Military parade, concert, and pyromelodic show in the heart of the City of the Sacred
The National Day in Reims is a popular and free event organized annually by the City of Reims around July 14th. The program includes a military parade on Avenue Paul Marchandeau, a large open-air concert in the parking lot of the René Tys complex, and a pyromelodic show fired from Léo Lagrange Park. The event attracts tens of thousands of spectators each year, with 10,000 to 15,000 people at the concert and 35,000 at the fireworks.
Each year, the City of Reims organizes the celebrations for the National Day with a program of free festivities open to all. The event traditionally takes place on the evening of July 13th, the eve of the national holiday, and is one of the highlights of the Reims summer.
The festivities are structured around three key moments:
In 2025, the concert "Totalement 90" brought together iconic artists from the 1990s on the stage of the René Tys parking lot. Among the headliners: Las Ketchup, Billy Crawford, Larusso, Lââm, and Colonel Reyel, hosted by presenters Charly and Lulu. The City of Reims allocated a budget of 150,000 euros to the festivities.
Access to the festival sites is controlled with five entry points, security pat-downs, and visual bag checks. Gates open at 5:30 PM. Bicycles and electric scooters are prohibited on site. Traffic is disrupted: the A344 highway exits are closed from Sunday 1 PM to Monday 4 AM. The tram service is interrupted in the mid-afternoon and replaced by shuttles.
