Popular ball and fireworks at Île au Cointre for July 14th in Alfortville
Alfortville celebrates the Republic on July 13th at Parc de l'Île au Cointre with musical entertainment on the theme of the 90s starting at 9 PM, followed by a spectacular fireworks display at 11 PM and a popular ball that lasts all night. A free and friendly event on the banks of the Seine that brings together thousands of Alfortville residents.
The town of Alfortville, located at the confluence of the Seine and Marne rivers, celebrates the National Celebration every year with a festive evening at the Parc de l'Île au Cointre. This exceptional setting on the banks of the Seine gives the republican celebration a particularly pleasant atmosphere, taking advantage of the river's coolness on summer nights.
The Parc de l'Île au Cointre is a natural and recreational area located on an island in the Seine in Alfortville. This place, appreciated by residents for its walks and picnics, is particularly well-suited for large popular festivals: the shimmering water around the island creates a guinguette-like festive atmosphere reminiscent of the festive traditions of the Seine banks in the 19th century.
The 2025 National Celebration in Alfortville was themed around the 90s, a festive decade if ever there was one, with themed musical entertainment starting at 9 PM. Hits from the 1990s — pop, dance, techno, RnB — echoed on Île au Cointre for the greatest pleasure of nostalgic party-goers and younger generations discovering these classics.
At 11 PM, the fireworks lit up the Alfortville sky from the banks of the Seine, offering a pyrotechnic show visible from many points in the city. The body of water amplified the reflection of the lights, creating a double spectacle on the surface of the Seine.
After the fireworks, the popular ball resumed with even more energy and continued throughout the night, transforming Île au Cointre into a festive dance space until the early hours of July 14th.
A town of 45,000 inhabitants at the crossroads of the Seine and Marne, Alfortville takes advantage of its river geography for its summer festivities. The National Celebration expresses the attachment of Alfortville residents to their water town and its festive traditions. The diversity of the Alfortville population — marked by successive waves of immigration that have enriched the town — is reflected in the mixed and festive atmosphere of the July 13th evening.
The 2026 National Celebration in Alfortville will be held on July 13th at Parc de l'Île au Cointre with musical entertainment, fireworks, and a popular ball, all with free admission.
