Traveling festival of contemporary and world music in Aube and Yonne
The Othe-Armance Festival is a traveling, eclectic festival of contemporary and world music, founded in 1991 in Aube and Yonne. Organized by the association Othe-Armance Festival, it offers outdoor concerts every summer at the Parc des Fontaines in Aix-en-Othe and in other towns in the Othe and Armance regions, from July to early October. For over thirty years, the festival has presented a varied program mixing reggae, ska, rock, French chanson, pop, blues, punk, and world music, attracting over 10,000 festival-goers from all over France. The site offers free camping, an associative and artisanal village, food trucks, and an artisanal bar.
The Othe-Armance Festival was born on August 16, 1991, in one of the smallest villages in the Aube department, driven by the members of the band Les Octaves. The initial ambition was simple yet audacious: to establish a cultural project and quality music dissemination in a rural area where cultural offerings were virtually non-existent. This crazy bet, launched by a handful of enthusiasts, has transformed over the decades into a major event in the music scene of the Grand Est region, becoming an unmissable rendezvous for lovers of contemporary and world music.
The uniqueness of the Othe-Armance Festival lies in its traveling nature: the festival is not limited to a single site but journeys through the towns of the Aube and Yonne departments, offering concerts in various locations from July to early October. The highlight of the season takes place every first weekend of July at the Parc des Fontaines in Aix-en-Othe, a two-hectare wooded park located in the heart of the town. The program mixes reggae, ska, rock, festive French chanson, pop, blues, punk, and world music, featuring national artists and regional discoveries.
With over 10,000 festival-goers each year, the Othe-Armance Festival has become a truly popular event. The Parc des Fontaines transforms into a festive village with about ten concerts over two days, an open stage, fire juggling shows, an associative and artisanal village showcasing local initiatives, food trucks, and a 100% artisanal bar. Camping is free for festival-goers, in the friendly and accessible spirit that has animated the festival since its origins. Children enter for free.
Over its thirty-five years of existence, the Othe-Armance Festival has hosted an impressive array of artists. The 2024 edition featured Olivia Ruiz, Sniper, Cali, Les Garcons Bouchers, Vanupie, and Debout sur le Zinc. The 2025 edition presented Guiz (member of Tryo), La Ruda (festive ska-rock), Danakil (French reggae), Graviity, and Radio Moutarde. The festival continues to evolve while remaining true to its founding values: accessibility, conviviality, musical discovery, and rural roots.
The 36th edition of the Othe-Armance Festival is scheduled for July 3rd and 4th, 2026, at the Parc des Fontaines in Aix-en-Othe. The festival will offer two days of contemporary and world music concerts, with free camping, an associative village, food trucks, and an artisanal bar. Lineup to be announced.
