The Migennes Summer Festival: Summer by the Burgundy Canal

Located in the Yonne department at the confluence of the Armançon and Yonne rivers, Migennes (89400) is a dynamic town that prioritizes summer conviviality. Every summer, the town organizes Cap Migennes Plage, a festive and free program that enlivens the banks of the Burgundy Canal and the Esplanade du port for nearly two months.

Cap Migennes Plage: A Festive and Free Summer

From early July to late August, Cap Migennes Plage offers everyone free access to water leisure activities and a multitude of events:

• Supervised swimming: Wednesdays to Sundays from 1:30 PM to 7:30 PM
• Canoes, paddles, and pedal boats: free access every afternoon
• Concerts: every Thursday at 5 PM and Saturday evenings around 7 PM
• Latin dance initiations: every Wednesday evening
• Juggling and fire-eater shows: Tribu du Feu and Cat's Fire throughout the season
• Country dance initiations and other sports activities

July 13th: Festive Evening and Fireworks

The evening of July 13th is the main highlight of the Migennes patronal festival. On the program:

Musical Evenings at the Esplanade du Port

The Night of the Stars

Among the highlights of the Migennes summer, the Nuit des Étoiles (Night of the Stars) offers a poetic event with an astronomical observation session from 10 PM to 1 AM at the Lucien Masson stadium, to admire the summer sky in a serene and family-friendly atmosphere.
