Independent metal and rock festival in Bonchamp-lès-Laval
The Get the Riff Indoor Fest is an independent metal and rock festival held annually at the La Fabrique venue in Bonchamp-lès-Laval, Mayenne. Created in 2024, this human-sized event offers an intense evening with several bands exploring all facets of contemporary rock and metal. Condensed into a single evening, the festival prioritizes raw energy and musical sharing in a direct and unpretentious atmosphere.
The Get the Riff Indoor Fest was born in 2024 in Bonchamp-lès-Laval, in the Mayenne department, with a clear ambition: to offer fans of heavy music and rock an annual, human-sized event rooted in the independent scene. Organized at the La Fabrique venue, a well-known cultural spot in the Laval agglomeration, the festival brings together several bands for one evening to defend their music with intensity and conviction.
Get the Riff Indoor Fest opts for a condensed indoor format over a single evening. This choice creates a dense and immersive atmosphere, where concerts follow one another without downtime. Each band brings its own musical color – from heavy stoner to melodic punk rock, from cyber nu metal to melodic extreme metal, including classic rock revisited. The goal is to offer a varied yet coherent lineup, focusing on artists capable of commanding a stage and conveying their passion to the audience.
Since its creation, the festival has hosted bands such as Teska (heavy rock / modern Breton metal, active for over twenty years), Arcania (French metal founded in 1999), Dropdead Chaos (new metal project featuring members of Les Tambours du Bronx and Trepalium), TH3ORY (cyber nu metal with double vocals and elaborate staging), Sujin (melodic extreme metal with influences from Ghost, Gojira, and Trivium), and Genuine Leather (energetic rock power trio). The second edition continued this dynamic with SUN (brutal pop), Ravage Club (punk rock), Redstone (heavy stoner), and Midsummer Lane (American-style melodic punk rock).
The Get the Riff Indoor Fest is part of the cultural life of the Laval agglomeration and contributes to energizing the music scene of the Grand Ouest. The La Fabrique venue, located at 10 rue de la Chambrouillère in Bonchamp-lès-Laval, offers an ideal setting for this type of event: a concert hall with adapted acoustics, a bar, and fast food on-site, all in a friendly and accessible atmosphere. With reasonable prices and a demanding lineup, the festival is gradually establishing itself as a must-attend event for amplified music lovers in Mayenne.
