Grandv'Hilare: Humor Takes Over Grandvillars
Since 2012, the Grandv'Hilare festival has transformed the Grandvillars performance hall into a stage for humor for the season. Created in partnership with the Communauté de communes du Sud Territoire, the municipality of Grandvillars, and the association Grandvillars fait son Show !, the festival is produced by Couleur Sport Productions and offers eight comedy evenings each year between October and June.
Its name, a playful contraction of "Grandvillars" and the word "hilare" (hilarious), sets the tone: here, we laugh! In just a few years, this festival has become one of the most popular cultural events in the Territoire de Belfort, attracting spectators from all over Franche-Comté, neighboring Alsace, and even Switzerland.
A High-Level Program
Each season, Grandv'Hilare invites established national comedians and artists on national tours to its stage. Text-based humor, one-man and one-woman shows, comedic theater, and musical and comedic performances follow one another throughout the season, guaranteeing a rich and varied program.
Among the artists who have graced the Grandvillars stage over the years are well-known names such as Anne Roumanoff, Didier Gustin, Liane Foly, Chantal Ladesou, and Viktor Vincent. These national headliners share the stage with emerging artists for whom Grandv'Hilare is sometimes one of their first major tour stops.
The Grandvillars Performance Hall
The performances are held in the Grandvillars performance hall, a modern 320-seat venue ideally designed for stage shows. Its intimate capacity fosters a close relationship between artists and the audience, creating an atmosphere conducive to shared laughter. Free on-site parking and easy access make it a popular venue for spectators.
Five Seasons Already Under its Belt
With over a dozen editions to its name, Grandv'Hilare has become a cultural staple for the residents of the Sud Territoire. The festival retains its audience season after season while attracting new spectators drawn by the quality of the artists and the friendly atmosphere of the event. Season subscriptions are a testament to the public's attachment to this regular gathering.
