The largest Japanese culture convention in France
Since 1999, Japan Touch has been the unmissable event for Japanese culture enthusiasts in Lyon. Every autumn, Eurexpo transforms into a huge 50,000 m² space where manga, anime, cosplay, video games, martial arts, gastronomy, and Japanese traditions meet. With over 40,000 visitors, 400 exhibitors, and a rich program, Japan Touch stands as the largest convention dedicated to Japan in France.
Born in 1999 from the "100% Manga" evenings organized by the association Asiexpo, Japan Touch has grown to become the largest exhibition dedicated to Japanese culture in France. Located at Eurexpo Lyon in Chassieu, the convention hosts tens of thousands of visitors every November, celebrating all facets of Japanese culture, from traditional manga to contemporary pop culture.
Japan Touch unfolds its universe over more than 50,000 m² of exhibition space, divided into two complementary areas. The first, dedicated to pop culture, features manga, animation, J-Pop and K-Pop music, video games, drift, and Tokyo fashion. The second highlights arts and traditions: Japanese crafts, martial arts, creative workshops, well-being, calligraphy, and tea ceremonies.
Wandering through the aisles, visitors discover spectacular cosplay parades, live concerts, preview anime screenings, conferences with guests from Japan, and participatory workshops. The cosplay competition, a true institution, attracts hundreds of participants each year, showcasing creativity and talent.
The giant food court offers a complete culinary immersion with ramen, takoyaki, okonomiyaki, mochi, and other specialties. The Asian Kitchen Festival, integrated into the convention, allows visitors to discover cuisines from across the Asian continent. A sake bar completes the tasting experience.
Supported by the association Asiexpo Events, active since 1997 in promoting Asian cultures, Japan Touch contributes to the cultural influence of the Lyon metropolitan area. The event generates significant economic and tourist activity and unites a passionate community that also meets during Japan Touch Haru in the spring.
The 27th edition of Japan Touch is confirmed for November 28 and 29, 2026, at Eurexpo Lyon. The largest Japanese culture exhibition in France returns with its proven format, blending pop culture, traditions, gastronomy, and meetings with Japanese guests.
Japan Touch returns for its 27th edition on November 28 and 29, 2026, at Eurexpo Lyon. Following the success of the 2025 edition, the convention continues to grow and promises an even richer program, with exclusive guests, manga and anime premieres, and an expanded gastronomic area.
