Traveling jazz festival in Creuse
Jazz a la Sout — Autumn Festival is a traveling jazz festival that offers concerts throughout the Creuse department between mid-October and early November. Created in 2000 by the association Musique(s) en Marche (MeM), the festival has been inviting music lovers for over 20 years to discover talented artists in the halls and heritage sites of Creuse. The autumn festival is the association's flagship event.
Jazz a la Sout is a traveling jazz festival created in 2000 by the association Musique(s) en Marche (MeM), born from the merger of the Departmental Union of Musical Societies of Creuse and the Jazz a la Sout Association. For over 20 years, the festival has invited music lovers to discover a panel of talented artists throughout the department.
The Autumn Festival offers concerts in the major halls and heritage sites of the department between mid-October and early November. The program covers jazz in all its forms: swing, gypsy jazz, gospel, contemporary jazz, and improvised music. La Souterraine is one of the main venues for the festival.
The MeM association works year-round to promote music in Creuse. The autumn festival is complemented by a summer festival created in 2022, which offers traveling concerts with a stage truck in various towns in the department.
