Aube's first chamber music festival

The Just Classik Festival was born in 2018 with the ambition of becoming the first chamber music festival in the Aube department. Every year in September, for two weeks, it takes over the heritage sites of Troyes and the entire department to offer a demanding yet accessible program. The La Madeleine theatre, a conventioned stage in Troyes, hosts the grand concerts, while the churches, chapels, and historic sites in the department serve as settings for more intimate concerts.

A rich and diverse program

Each edition of the Just Classik Festival offers around 35 events divided into five complementary formats. The Grand Concerts present masterpieces of the chamber repertoire performed by forty artists recognized on the international stage. The Aube'Sessions, an original format of the festival, combine heritage and music by offering concerts in remarkable locations in the Aube — castles, Romanesque churches, monastic barns — providing spectators with a dual discovery, architectural and musical.

Formats for all audiences

The Just Classik Festival stands out for its commitment to making classical music accessible to all. The short but intense Expresso Concerts offer concentrated musical moments for those seeking an initial approach to chamber music. The Kids Classik program is aimed at younger audiences, with adapted musical shows. The Classik Lab' offers masterclasses and meetings with artists, while the Meetings allow for informal exchanges between musicians and the public in a friendly atmosphere.

Heritage and music: the Aube'Sessions

The Aube'Sessions are the signature of the Just Classik Festival. This original format takes chamber music outside traditional concert halls to resonate within the heritage treasures of the Aube department. Medieval churches, Renaissance chapels, champagne cellars, old barns: each location becomes a unique setting for intimate concerts where the natural acoustics of the stone blend with the sounds of the instruments. This alliance between heritage and music helps introduce spectators to sometimes little-known sites in the department, while offering musicians exceptional performance conditions.
