A festival born from Baume-les-Dames' cultural ambition
The KoBoLD Festival was born in 2021, driven by the town of Baume-les-Dames and its desire to offer a quality cultural event, free and open to all. In just a few editions, this multidisciplinary festival has established itself as a must-attend summer event in the Doubs region, attracting families and curious audiences to the streets and neighborhoods of this charming town at the confluence of the Doubs and Cusancin rivers.
Urban arts and street culture
KoBoLD draws its identity from urban arts and street culture. Each edition offers an eclectic program mixing open-air concerts in the heart of the town center, street theater for children and adults, circus arts, artistic performances, and participatory cultural workshops. The streets, squares, and public spaces of Baume-les-Dames become open-air stages.
Three days of celebration and discovery
From Friday to Sunday, the festival transforms the town into a vast artistic playground. Parades and processions take over the medieval alleys, circus shows amaze in the squares, and concerts resonate in the historic center. The program mixes established artists and emerging companies, offering a showcase of contemporary creation in street arts.
A free and participatory event
All shows and concerts at the KoBoLD Festival are completely free, ensuring access to culture for all audiences. The cultural workshops invite spectators to become participants, in a spirit of sharing and conviviality that characterizes this human-scale event. The festival benefits from the support of the Été culturel program from the Ministry of Culture.
