About L'Avide Jardin
Every late August, the L'Avide Jardin Festival turns the village of Muttersholtz into an open-air stage for live performances. Organized by the LaCuisine association, this unique festival invites spectators to wander in small groups through the natural landscapes of the Ried in Alsace, discovering short, bespoke performances: theater, puppetry, storytelling, music, dance, and poetic acts. It is a joyful, family-friendly, and artistically ambitious event that brings you into direct contact with the living world.

The L'Avide Jardin Festival is a unique artistic event born from the imagination of the LaCuisine association, based in Muttersholtz, a town recognized as the French Capital of Biodiversity.
A family-friendly and accessible event
L'Avide Jardin is designed for everyone. Families will find an ideal playground here, with poetic shows for children and more challenging performances for adults. Access to the festival grounds and outdoor shows is free throughout the three days. Only indoor performances (at the Les Synergies venue) require a ticket, offered at very affordable rates, including reduced, standard, and supporting price options.
LaCuisine: an association rooted in the region
The LaCuisine association, founder and organizer of the festival, is a cultural pillar deeply rooted in the Ried region. Throughout the year, it leads projects involving artistic creation, artist residencies, and cultural outreach in connection with local residents and the landscape. The L'Avide Jardin Festival is the highlight of this work—a moment of sharing and celebration that bridges art, nature, and the village community.

Access
Muttersholtz is located about 5 km north of Sélestat and 50 km south of Strasbourg, in the Alsatian Ried.
- By car: From the A35, take exit Sélestat Nord, then follow signs for Muttersholtz. Free parking.
- By train: Sélestat station (5 km away), then bicycle or taxi.
- By bicycle: Muttersholtz is accessible via the Ried cycle paths.

Thursday to Sunday, late August. Performances during the day and in the evening.

Access to the site and outdoor performances: free. Indoor performances: €5 reduced, €8 full price, €12 support rate.
