About La Belle Baroque
La Belle Baroque is a baroque and classical music festival located in the heart of Beaujolais, in the municipality of Saint-Lager, within the Beaujolais Geopark. Supported by the La Belle Baroque association (artistic direction Caroline Mutel) in close collaboration with the ensemble Les Nouveaux Caractères and its conductor Sébastien d'Hérin, its mission is to disseminate classical music while promoting the natural, architectural, and cultural heritage of the region.

From June 9 to 14, 2026, Beaujolais will resonate with the rhythm of the third edition of the La Belle Baroque festival, "A Japanese Soul: Between East and West". A unique experience combining music, heritage, and art of living thanks to masterpieces like Vivaldi's Gloria or Puccini's Madame Butterfly, passionate artists, and exceptional venues such as the Château de la Chaize or the Géoparc Beaujolais.
From June 9 to 14, 2026, Beaujolais will resonate with the rhythm of the third edition of the La Belle Baroque festival — "A Japanese Soul: Between East and West". A Mission of Accessibility and Sharing
Its mission is based on accessibility, making classical music accessible to everyone, from seasoned music lovers to novices, as well as on creating links with local stakeholders. The festival offers free concerts and participatory activities. It also engages with underserved audiences by broadcasting certain concerts on the YouTube channel of Soins et Santé, for residents in EHPADs (nursing homes) or people receiving home hospitalization.
La Belle Baroque is aimed at all audiences, from families to enlightened amateurs, as well as those distant from culture.

The festival is supported by the City of Saint-Lager, the Communauté de communes Saône Beaujolais, the département du Rhône, the CAHPP, Soins et Santé, the Caisse d'Épargne, the Sacem, and builds relationships with numerous local partners.
