The gourmet fair between Champagne and Burgundy
Langres Gastronomique is an annual gastronomic fair organized in Langres, Haute-Marne, at the crossroads of Champagne and Burgundy. Created in 2019 by the association Langres Foires et Salons, this event brings together nearly 100 exhibitors, producers, and local artisans around Langres AOP cheese and regional specialties every first weekend of June. Culinary demonstrations by a Michelin-starred chef, cheese brotherhoods, musical entertainment, and amateur cooking contests punctuate this celebration of Haute-Marne gastronomy.
Every first weekend of June, the Salle Jean Favre in Langres hosts Langres Gastronomique, a festive and gourmet event that highlights the gastronomic richness of southern Haute-Marne, at the crossroads of Champagne and Burgundy. Created in 2019 by the association Langres Foires et Salons, this fair has become, in just a few editions, an unmissable event for lovers of good food and local produce.
At the heart of the event is Langres cheese, a soft cheese with a washed rind benefiting from an Appellation d'Origine Protégée (Protected Designation of Origin). Recognizable by its distinctive 'fontaine' (well) on top and its orange rind, it is the ambassador of local cheese heritage. The Confrérie des Tastes Fromages de Langres (Brotherhood of Langres Cheese Tasters), the true guardian of this tradition, is present to introduce and share the passion for this exceptional cheese.
The fair brings together about a hundred exhibitors, producers, and artisans offering a wide range of local products:
One of the highlights of Langres Gastronomique is the presence of the Académie de Cuisine (Culinary Academy), which offers live cooking demonstrations. Each edition is sponsored by a Michelin-starred chef who shares their expertise with the public. Chef Angelo Ferrigno was the sponsor for the 2025 edition, while Chef Valentin Loison is the sponsor for the 2026 edition.
Beyond the producers' market, Langres Gastronomique offers a varied program of activities:
Langres, a city of art and history perched on a promontory, is surrounded by four lakes and remarkable landscapes. Less known for its gastronomic products than for its ramparts and historical heritage, the city has found with Langres Gastronomique a formidable vehicle for promoting its terroir and revitalizing its region.
The 7th edition of Langres Gastronomique takes place from Friday, June 5 to Sunday, June 7, 2026, at the Salle Jean Favre. Michelin-starred chef Valentin Loison is the patron of this edition, which brings together producers and artisans from the Haute-Marne region.
