Laval Vinyl and Comics Fair: The meeting place for Laval collectors

Since 2017, the Laval Vinyl and Comics Fair has brought together music and comic book enthusiasts every winter in a unique location: the Salle Polyvalente on Place de Hercé, in the heart of Laval. Organized by the Association des Collectionneurs de Vinyles et de BD de la Mayenne (ACVBD 53), this event has become a must-attend for bargain hunters and pop culture fans in Mayenne over the years.

Vinyl records and comic books in the spotlight

The fair brings together around thirty specialized exhibitors offering a diverse range of items:

• Vinyl records: 33s, 45s, original pressings, limited editions, all musical genres (rock, jazz, French chanson, classical, electro, reggae, soul, funk)
• CDs and music formats: used albums, rarities, and imports
• Comic books: classic and contemporary comics, manga, comics, collectible albums, original and signed editions
• Merchandise: posters, postcards, collectible items related to music and comics

Exhibitions, signings, and activities

Beyond the sales stands, the Vinyl and Comics Fair offers a cultural program enriched with each edition:

Comic book author signings

Comic book authors, often from the region, are invited to sign their works. The poster for each edition is signed by a guest artist — the 2026 edition features Stéphane Doreau, an author from Mayenne.

Themed exhibitions

Exhibitions showcase private collections, musical themes, or comic book movements, offering visitors a curated look into these cultural universes.

Raffle and activities

A raffle is organized in partnership with local businesses, with a vinyl turntable and music-related prizes. Activities punctuate the day, creating a festive and friendly atmosphere.

A dynamic association

ACVBD 53 is not limited to organizing the annual fair. The association fosters a community of collectors throughout the year, organizing meetups, exchanges, and cultural events around vinyl and comic books. Membership is open to all for €10 per year.
