Le Parc aux Étoiles: A Human-Scale Festival in the Vexin
Created in 2022, the Le Parc aux Étoiles festival quickly established itself as one of the early summer musical events in Val-d'Oise. Located at the Nesles-la-Vallée Stadium, in the heart of the French Vexin, this human-scale open-air festival brings together emerging and established artists from the French pop, rock, and electro scene every second weekend of June, in a green and friendly setting.
The festival stands out for its family accessibility: reasonable prices (16 € for the day, 23 € for the two-day pass), an open and natural setting, a limited capacity of 1,500 people per evening to preserve conviviality, and a program that mixes local discoveries with renowned national artists. Supported by the Communauté de communes Sausseron Impressionnistes (CCSI), it offers free entry to under-18s from the communes in the area.
A Site Rich in Musical History
Its proximity to the legendary Château d'Hérouville — a studio where Elton John (Honky Château, Don't Shoot Me I'm Only the Piano Player), David Bowie (Pin Ups), Serge Gainsbourg (L'Homme à tête de chou), and Claude François recorded in the 1970s-1980s — anchors Le Parc aux Étoiles in a rich and symbolic musical history. The festival pays tribute to this heritage by naming one of its stages after Michel Magne, the composer and historical owner of the château.
Two Stages for Varied Genres
The festival offers two complementary stages: the main stage hosts national headliners, while the Rising Stars Stage is dedicated to young emerging artists, selected annually based on applications. The two stages follow one another to ensure the audience never has to wait between concerts.
A Program Rooted in the French Scene
Each edition of Le Parc aux Étoiles highlights the contemporary French music scene — pop, rock, electro, chanson, slam, gypsy jazz, or funk. The 4th edition, in 2025, welcomed artists such as Naïve New Beaters, Astonvilla, Hélène Sio, Ysé, Ecco, Whim Therapy, Birrd, Adore, and DJ Mademoiselle Ely, offering a representative panel of current trends in independent French music.
The 5th edition, on June 5 and 6, 2026, features an ambitious lineup of 14 artists: Aupinard, Bukowski, Nass, Photøgraph, Goupils, He's not! and Thibault on Friday; Elephanz, The Supermen Lovers, Camille Yembe, Mona Guba, 33 Dogs, AVRSE, and Xpilot on Saturday. A successful blend of electro-pop, vintage funk, and new voices from the French scene.
