World music and discoveries in the heart of the Vosges
Nestled in the heart of Val-d'Ajol in the Vosges, the Le Pied Orange Festival is an eclectic musical event supported by the Rock Live association since 2018. Every summer in July, the historic Chez Narcisse site vibrates for three days to the rhythm of world music, alternative rock, and electro. With its three stages, two of which are free access, the festival brings together nearly 6,000 spectators in a warm, family-friendly, and resolutely festive atmosphere, at the foot of the Vosges mountains.
Created in 2018 by the Rock Live association, founded in 1986, the Le Pied Orange Festival has quickly established itself as a must-see cultural event in the Vosges. Located in the picturesque setting of Val-d'Ajol, in the heart of the Ballons des Vosges Regional Natural Park, this music festival perpetuates a tradition of demanding musical programming supported for nearly four decades by a passionate association.
The festival takes place at 9 rue du Dévau, on the historic Chez Narcisse site, an emblematic venue founded in 1892 that combines a concert hall, café, artist residencies, and an artisanal brewery. This unique and authentic setting gives Le Pied Orange a special atmosphere, far from large, impersonal festivals, where closeness between artists and the public is at the heart of the experience.
Le Pied Orange stands out for its rich program mixing world music, alternative rock, electro, chanson, and comedy. The 2025 edition hosted renowned artists such as Orange Blossom, Delgrès, Zoufris Maracas, La Yegros, Sidi Wacho, Tisdass, The Velvet Hands, and Frères 2 Misère, as well as the comedian Aymeric Lompret. With 25 shows and 22 artists spread across three stages, the festival offers remarkable musical diversity.
The originality of Le Pied Orange lies in its generous format: out of the three programmed stages, two are free access, allowing as many people as possible to enjoy the concerts and entertainment. The main stage hosts the headliners, while the free stages offer discoveries and varied atmospheres throughout the day.
True to the associative spirit that has driven it since its creation, the Le Pied Orange Festival relies on about a hundred dedicated volunteers. This collective commitment ensures warm organization and a friendly welcome that have earned the festival its reputation. In just a few editions, Le Pied Orange has managed to bring together nearly 6,000 spectators and establish itself as a highlight of the Vosges summer.
The 7th edition of the Le Pied Orange Festival will take place at the Chez Narcisse site in Val-d'Ajol from July 24 to 26, 2026. Three days of world music, rock, and discoveries in the warm atmosphere of the Vosges.
The Le Pied Orange Festival returns for its 7th edition from July 24 to 26, 2026, at Chez Narcisse in Val-d'Ajol. The lineup will be announced in spring 2026 on the festival's official website.
