Rock'O'Lac: The Rock Spirit by the Lake

Born in 1998 from the passion of Daniel Colnat and the Moonlight association, the Rock'O'Lac Festival has become over the years an essential event for rock lovers in the Vosges. Joined by Marc Genatio and the MCL of Gérardmer, the festival has grown while retaining its intimate soul and human warmth that make it unique.

An Intimate Setting at the Caf'Conc'

The festival takes place every year in November in the Caf'Conc' hall of the Maison de la Culture et des Loisirs of Gérardmer, at the foot of the famous lake. This human-sized venue offers rare proximity between artists and the public, creating an electric atmosphere where every guitar chord resonates with intensity. The warm acoustics of the place and the limited capacity guarantee an immersive and authentic musical experience.

An Eclectic Rock Program

From local stages to national artists, Rock'O'Lac offers a carefully curated lineup each year that highlights rock in all its variations: alternative rock, French rock, blues-rock, independent rock. Among the artists who have graced the festival stage are Guillaume Blankass (headliner 2025), Les Infidèles (2024 edition), as well as numerous regional bands who find a valuable showcase for their talent here.

A Festival Rooted in the Vosges Territory

Rock'O'Lac perfectly embodies the spirit of the Gérardmer cultural scene. By promoting local artists in the opening acts and offering affordable prices, the festival fulfills an essential mission: making live rock accessible to all. Photographic exhibitions organized alongside the concerts, such as the shots by Grégory Wallerich exhibited during the 2025 edition, enrich the event with a complementary artistic dimension. With over twenty-seven editions to its name, Rock'O'Lac has successfully built a loyal and passionate audience that returns each autumn to celebrate rock by the lake.
