Street arts festival in Montreuil-sur-Mer
Created in 2023 by the association Cirq'O Vent, the Les Irrésistibles festival transforms Montreuil-sur-Mer into an open-air stage dedicated to street arts every September. For two days, the Place du Général de Gaulle and the Citadel host circus, street theater, dance, music, and acrobatics shows. Free and open to all, this family-friendly and participatory festival invites spectators to discover all forms of performing arts, illuminated by the energy of contemporary circus.
Since 2023, the Les Irrésistibles festival has been making the streets of Montreuil-sur-Mer vibrate to the rhythm of circus, street theater, and performing arts. Organized by the association Cirq'O Vent, this young festival has quickly found its audience thanks to its bold programming, warm atmosphere, and completely free access.
The festival offers an eclectic program that celebrates the diversity of street arts:
Friday evening is dedicated to circus and the presentation of projects from The Irrésistibles Workshop, a workspace and research area where artists develop their creations. Saturday is dedicated to continuous entertainment and shows in the afternoon, culminating in a grand participatory parade through the town's streets.
The Place du Général de Gaulle and the Citadel of Montreuil-sur-Mer serve as a natural backdrop for the performances. Artists share their talent and energy in these historic locations, creating a unique encounter between heritage and contemporary creation.
Access to all shows is free, making Les Irrésistibles an event open to everyone, families, the curious, and performing arts enthusiasts. The grand participatory parade even invites the public to become active participants in the celebration, in a spirit of sharing and conviviality dear to the Cirq'O Vent association.
