About Nuits (Re)Belles
Nuits (Re)Belles — edition 2026
12th edition of Les Nuits (Re)Belles, from May 29 to June 21, 2026. Twelve free open-air musical evenings, in twelve villages of Jura, organized by Le Moulin de Brainans (Contemporary Music Venue).
12th Edition — May 29 → June 21, 2026
Les Nuits (Re)Belles return for their 12th edition, from Friday, May 29 to Sunday, June 21, 2026. For nearly four weeks, the itinerant and free festival of Le Moulin de Brainans travels through the villages of Jura with twelve open-air musical evenings.
Four Headlining Artists, Twelve Stage Villages
The 2026 edition is structured around four main artists, each performing for three consecutive evenings (Friday-Saturday-Sunday) in three different villages:
- Arthur Fu Bandini — opening weekend (May 29-31) in Chaumergy, Biarne, and Vevy.
- BRÖ — weekend of June 5-7 in Pupillin, Le Vaudioux, and Parcey.
- Mélanie Lesage — weekend of June 12-14 in Romange, Grozon, and Cerniébaud.
- Emma Politi — closing weekend (June 19-21) in Vaudrey, Chille, and Picarreau.
Each evening is complemented by a local opening act (Jura group, workshop, conservatory ensemble) and by activities prepared by the village's partner association.
A Format Designed for Rural Areas
The concerts take place outdoors, in atypical locations in the heart of the villages: village halls, church squares, schoolyards, agricultural hangars, natural sites, or municipal stadiums. Local associations handle the welcome, refreshment stand, and catering, and schools are sometimes involved in the project through artist interventions prior to the concert.

Music Closer to the Residents
For eleven years, Les Nuits (Re)Belles has brought music to the heart of Jura's villages. Organized by Le Moulin de Brainans, a labelled contemporary music venue in the Jura, this travelling and free festival moves each evening in June to a different village, transforming town squares, schoolyards, municipal parks, and church squares into ephemeral concert stages.
A Unique Travelling Festival
The concept of Les Nuits (Re)Belles is unique in the French festival landscape: rather than gathering the public in one place, the festival goes out to meet the residents, commune by commune. Each stop is organized in partnership with local associations, which handle the welcome, catering, and additional activities:
- 12 host communes welcome the festival each edition.
- Open-air concerts in unusual locations: parks, stadiums, schoolyards, church squares.
- Producer markets and local catering.
- Activities: exhibitions, sports activities, workshops for children.
- Indoor contingency plans in case of unfavourable weather.
A Demanding and Accessible Program
The program of Les Nuits (Re)Belles reflects the diversity of contemporary music:
- Pop jazz : Rosaway, with soul and groove influences.
- Urban chanson : Lombre, between poetic rap and French chanson.
- Electro-pop : Alexandrie, with luminous and danceable sounds.
- Instrumental indie pop : Mathis Akengin, refined and atmospheric melodies.
- Experimental electro-chanson : O'o, at the boundaries of genres.
- And also : Uncle Henkle, The Wooden, Sabardoum, LaurAline et les Bandits.
A Solidarity Network
Les Nuits (Re)Belles relies on a solidarity network of volunteers and local associations. With 93 partner associations, 80 communes visited since its creation, and 6 inter-communalities involved, the festival weaves a dense cultural fabric across the entire Jura territory. Artists also perform in the schools of the host communes, creating an educational link with younger generations.
Free for Everyone
True to its mission of cultural democratization, the festival is entirely free for the public. This free access allows it to reach a large and diverse audience, from contemporary music lovers to rural families who do not have access to major cultural venues. Since its creation, over 15,000 spectators have attended Les Nuits (Re)Belles concerts.
