Les Pluralies: When Luxeuil's Heritage Becomes a Stage
Since 2002, the Les Pluralies festival has taken over the architectural treasures of Luxeuil-les-Bains, an elegant spa town in Haute-Saône, every summer. Created on the initiative of the municipality, the festival is based on three main orientations: the eclecticism of the programming, the enhancement of architectural heritage, and conviviality.
The Abbey Cloister: A Magical Setting
The heart of the festival beats in the cloister of the Saint-Colomban Abbey, described as "the magical place of the festival" and considered one of the most beautiful summer performance spaces in eastern France. This medieval cloister, with its stone arcades and natural acoustics, offers an intimate and sumptuous setting for evening performances at 9:30 PM. The Maison du Cardinal Jouffroy, a 15th-century residence, hosts more intimate performances.
A Multidisciplinary Program
True to its name, Les Pluralies cultivates eclecticism. Each edition mixes concerts by headliners, theater, dance, circus, street arts, and unclassifiable performances. In 2025, the 24th edition featured L.E.J. and Feu! Chatterton in concert, the play Phèdre!, and the circus show Car tous les chemins y mènent. For 2026, the program includes Calogero, Lynda Lemay, and Jean-Félix Lalanne, Les Josianes, the Sea Girls, and hip-hop dance performances.
The Auberge: Sharing Conviviality
Every evening at 7 PM, the festival's Auberge, located on Place du Sergent Bonnot, offers free concerts in a relaxed atmosphere. Here, you can enjoy local specialties and cool drinks while discovering new artists. This popular and warm gathering embodies the spirit of the festival: making culture accessible and joyful.
Luxeuil-les-Bains: An Exceptional Heritage Setting
A town of water and history, Luxeuil-les-Bains offers the festival remarkable architectural heritage. The abbey founded by Saint Columban in the 6th century, the Maison du Cardinal Jouffroy, the medieval streets, and the Renaissance facades form a natural backdrop that enhances every performance. Les Pluralies contributes to the valorization of this heritage while attracting a curious audience from all over the region.
