Live performance in the cloister of the Luxeuil Abbey
Created in 2002 on the initiative of the town of Luxeuil-les-Bains, the Les Pluralies festival transforms the cloister of the Saint-Colomban Abbey and the architectural jewels of the spa town into live performance stages every summer in July. Concerts, theater, dance, and street arts follow one another in an exceptional heritage setting, considered one of the most beautiful summer performance venues in eastern France. The festival's Auberge offers free concerts every evening in a friendly atmosphere.
Since 2002, the Les Pluralies festival has taken over the architectural treasures of Luxeuil-les-Bains, an elegant spa town in Haute-Saône, every summer. Created on the initiative of the municipality, the festival is based on three main orientations: the eclecticism of the programming, the enhancement of architectural heritage, and conviviality.
The heart of the festival beats in the cloister of the Saint-Colomban Abbey, described as "the magical place of the festival" and considered one of the most beautiful summer performance spaces in eastern France. This medieval cloister, with its stone arcades and natural acoustics, offers an intimate and sumptuous setting for evening performances at 9:30 PM. The Maison du Cardinal Jouffroy, a 15th-century residence, hosts more intimate performances.
True to its name, Les Pluralies cultivates eclecticism. Each edition mixes concerts by headliners, theater, dance, circus, street arts, and unclassifiable performances. In 2025, the 24th edition featured L.E.J. and Feu! Chatterton in concert, the play Phèdre!, and the circus show Car tous les chemins y mènent. For 2026, the program includes Calogero, Lynda Lemay, and Jean-Félix Lalanne, Les Josianes, the Sea Girls, and hip-hop dance performances.
Every evening at 7 PM, the festival's Auberge, located on Place du Sergent Bonnot, offers free concerts in a relaxed atmosphere. Here, you can enjoy local specialties and cool drinks while discovering new artists. This popular and warm gathering embodies the spirit of the festival: making culture accessible and joyful.
A town of water and history, Luxeuil-les-Bains offers the festival remarkable architectural heritage. The abbey founded by Saint Columban in the 6th century, the Maison du Cardinal Jouffroy, the medieval streets, and the Renaissance facades form a natural backdrop that enhances every performance. Les Pluralies contributes to the valorization of this heritage while attracting a curious audience from all over the region.
The 25th edition of Les Pluralies will be held from July 22 to 25, 2026, in Luxeuil-les-Bains. Headliners: Calogero on Friday, July 24, and Lynda Lemay with Jean-Félix Lalanne on Saturday, July 25, in the cloister. Also on the program: Les Josianes, Les Murmures ont des oreilles, À vos fourchettes, and Sea Girls. Free concerts every evening at the Auberge.
