Foire de Lure: Haute-Saône's Big Biennial Celebration

Since 1987, the Foire de Lure has become an unmissable event for the inhabitants of Haute-Saône and neighboring departments. Organized every two years over four days at the end of September, this major regional fair hosts nearly 300 exhibitors from all over France and a guest of honor country that changes with each edition. It's the event not to be missed in Haute-Saône.

The Foire de Lure is much more than a simple market: it's a showcase for the local and national economy. The stands cover a wide variety of sectors: automotive, construction, housing, gastronomy, arts and crafts, well-being, agriculture, and new technologies. Each edition highlights the local products of Franche-Comté and the specialties of the guest country. Visitors can taste regional specialties — Morteau sausage, Cancoillotte cheese, Comté cheese — while discovering flavors from elsewhere. Themed evenings, such as the Alsatian evening with sauerkraut and vacherin at the 2024 edition, are highly appreciated moments of conviviality.

The fair is not limited to exhibition stands. A rich and varied entertainment program punctuates the four days of festivities: concerts, cabaret shows, dance evenings with an orchestra, children's entertainment, and craft demonstrations. Each edition adopts a unifying theme: in 2024, cinema was in the spotlight, in partnership with France Bleu.
