About Life Journeys Film Festival: Our Living Heritage

The Parcours de vie au cinéma, notre patrimoine vivant festival brings together short films in Vernoux-en-Vivarais created by groups of seniors who have been supported by the ABEPIC association since 2018. Writing and filmmaking workshops help each participant trace their personal history before it is screened in the cinema.

The festival showcases this collection of 60 films through panel discussions, musical readings, and exhibitions at the Espace culturel Louis Nodon.

ABEPIC was founded on February 3, 2017, in Valence by five professionals: an art therapist, two artists, a nursing assistant, and a home care worker. The association is based on Digital Storytelling, a Quebec-inspired approach that uses digital tools to tell personal stories.

Focused on the Ardèche region since 2021, the organization now operates through volunteer work and hosts screening and discussion events in various facilities, in addition to the weekly workshops that contribute to the film catalog presented at the festival.
