Jazz in an Intimate Setting in Marly

The Marly Jazz Festival is an annual event dedicated to jazz in all its forms, held in the town of Marly, on the outskirts of Metz. Since its creation in the early 2000s, this festival has built a solid reputation in the jazz scene of the Grand Est region thanks to its demanding programming and the warm atmosphere of its concerts.

Prestigious Programming

Each edition brings together artists of national and international renown over four to five evenings. The programming mixes traditional jazz, contemporary jazz, fusion, soul jazz, and other related styles, offering a varied panorama of the current jazz scene. The festival skillfully combines headliners with emerging artists, allowing the audience to experience unique musical moments and memorable artistic encounters.

The Intimacy of Le NEC

The concerts take place at the Espace Culturel Le NEC (Nouvel Espace Culturel) in Marly, a human-sized venue that fosters proximity between artists and the audience. This intimate setting is one of the festival's major assets: spectators are very close to the musicians, in an atmosphere conducive to listening and musical sharing.

A Festival Rooted in its Territory

Supported by the association MME Marly Management Events in collaboration with the City of Marly, the festival benefits from strong local roots. It contributes to the cultural influence of the town and the Metz agglomeration, attracting a loyal audience from all over Moselle and beyond. The festival also participates in the local cultural scene by regularly programming regional artists alongside the headliners.

Over Twenty Years of Jazz

With over twenty editions to its name, the Marly Jazz Festival has managed to endure and evolve, adapting to musical trends while remaining true to the spirit of jazz: improvisation, virtuosity, emotion, and sharing. Each edition is an opportunity to be moved by the sound of exceptional musicians in a friendly and accessible setting.

Friendliness and Discovery

Beyond the concerts, the festival offers a friendly atmosphere with a bar and catering area allowing spectators to extend the evening and discuss their shared passion for jazz. Encounters with artists are sometimes organized, reinforcing the human dimension of the event.
