Christmas at the Château de Chantilly: An Unparalleled Enchantment

From mid-November to early January, the Château de Chantilly and its surroundings don their finest attire to offer visitors an unforgettable Christmas experience. This major event, organized by the Domaine de Chantilly and the City of Chantilly, combines the magic of an exceptional heritage site with the warmth of a traditional Christmas market.

The Enchanted Château

The château, the park, and the Great Stables are transformed into a true festive kingdom where magic and traditions blend:

  • Magical illuminations of the château and gardens at nightfall
  • Sumptuous decorations in the historic halls of the château
  • Meetings with Santa Claus in the Galerie des Cerfs, on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays in December, from 2 PM to 5 PM
  • Christmas carols and concerts in the château's spaces

The Equestrian Show 'L'Arche d'Or'

The Great Stables, an 18th-century architectural masterpiece, host the equestrian show 'L'Arche d'Or' specially created for the holidays. This dreamlike show features the horses of Chantilly in a magical universe blending dressage, acrobatics, and light effects. Performances at 2:30 PM and/or 4:30 PM depending on the day.

The Artisan Market in the Town Center

Alongside the festivities at the château, the center of Chantilly hosts a traditional Christmas market with over 80 exhibitors:

  • Food stalls: foie gras, chocolates, confectionery, wines, and champagnes
  • Crafts: decorative items, jewelry, toys, textiles, candles
  • Candy distribution by Santa Claus for children

The Grand Pavillon Market

The Grand Pavillon de Chantilly also hosts its own Christmas market with an artisan market, winter treats and sweets, festive entertainment, and a meeting with Santa Claus in an elegant and refined setting.

An Exceptional Setting

The Domaine de Chantilly, with its Renaissance château, French gardens designed by Le Nôtre, and Great Stables, offers an incomparable setting to celebrate Christmas. The illuminations transform this listed site into a magical backdrop that delights young and old alike.
