Middle-earth Festival
A socially conscious film festival in Lesparre-Médoc
2026
About Middle-earth Festival
Every year, the Terre du Milieu Festival brings together screenings of documentaries, fiction, and short films in Lesparre-Médoc, focusing on key ecological and social balances. The name is derived from the local dialect's etymology for "Médoc," referring to a land nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the Gironde estuary. Organized by the Et C'Terra association since 2025 at the Jean Dujardin cinema, the event features screenings followed by discussions and family-friendly workshops.
Middle-earth Festival — edition 2026
The second edition, running from October 5th to 11th, 2026, at the Cinéma Jean Dujardin, centers on the theme "Vivant(e)s" (Living Beings). The selected films explore the meaning of being alive—biologically, emotionally, socially, and symbolically—while examining the connections between species, local residents, and the ecosystems of the Médoc region.
Programme Middle-earth Festival 2026
