About Middle-earth Festival
Every year, the Terre du Milieu Festival brings together screenings of documentaries, fiction, and short films in Lesparre-Médoc, focusing on key ecological and social balances. The name is derived from the local dialect's etymology for "Médoc," referring to a land nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the Gironde estuary. Organized by the Et C'Terra association since 2025 at the Jean Dujardin cinema, the event features screenings followed by discussions and family-friendly workshops.
Middle-earth Festival — edition 2026
The second edition's theme is "Vivant(e)s" (Living): life in its biological, emotional, social, or symbolic sense, explored through fiction, documentaries, and animated films. From October 4 to 11, 2026, the Cinéma Jean Dujardin in Lesparre-Médoc will host previews, debates with guest speakers, a master class with France Darry, and school screenings.
