Montcuq Festival of Chanson à Texte

21st edition: July 22nd to 25th, 2026

The Montcuq Song Festival returns for its 21st edition from July 22nd to 25th, 2026, in the courtyard of Jean-Jacques Faurie college (relocated to the village hall in case of rain). True to its spirit since 2005, the festival celebrates the richness and diversity of French-language singer-songwriter music, under the artistic direction of Gérard Morel.

Each day is punctuated by three events: the aperitif-meeting with the artists at 11:30 AM, the Café Chantant at 4 PM (open mic with about half a dozen singers per day), and the evening concerts.

The opening night on Wednesday, July 22nd, is free and open to all, followed by a welcome drink. Reservations for the evenings of July 23rd, 24th, and 25th can be made on the HelloAsso platform or at the Cahors Vallée du Lot Tourist Office.
