Since 1993, the Musique dans le Grésivaudan festival has affirmed a unique identity in the Isère music scene: that of an open and demanding festival, where chamber music, jazz, improvised music, and world music traditions meet in the remarkable heritage sites of the Grésivaudan valley.

The festival is distinguished by a program that rejects boundaries between musical genres. Each edition offers an eclectic sound journey where the following dialogue:

• Music from the five continents, from ancestral traditions to current expressions

Heritage sites as musical settings

One of the festival's unique features is to create a dialogue between music and the historical and natural heritage of Grésivaudan. Concerts take place in remarkable locations in the valley: churches, castles, heritage halls, and natural spaces in the towns of Saint-Ismier, Montbonnot-Saint-Martin, Crolles, Le Versoud, and other villages in Grésivaudan. Concerts at dusk

Concerts generally begin at 8:30 PM, with the exception of some recitals scheduled for 4:30 PM, allowing attendees to enjoy the evening light in the heritage sites. This attention to the setting and atmosphere contributes to the festival's magic.
