With Oh La La La! Operettas on the Go!, the Opéra national de Lorraine invites the public on a musical journey where childhood innocence dialogues musically with adult nostalgia. This enchanting show blends operetta tunes, popular songs, and light melodies in a program celebrating joy, dreams, and the shared pleasure of singing.

From Operetta to Risqué Songs

From the mischievous spontaneity of risqué songs to the sparkling melodies of operettas, the program traverses genres with wit and tenderness. Works by Francis Poulenc, Jacques Offenbach, Cole Porter, and other great composers serve as the soundtrack to this tender and joyful journey, punctuated by bursts of laughter and sweet melancholy.

An Inventive Staging

The staging and scenography are by Louise Brun, with Théo Phélippeau for the sets and François Touret for the lighting. Together, they create a poetic visual universe that accompanies the performers in their musical wandering, between enchantment, mischief, and lightheartedness.

Musical Direction

Musical direction is by Virginie Déjos, who guides the musicians and singers with finesse and energy through this eclectic repertoire. The Children's Awareness Choir, directed by Guillaume Paire, adds a touch of freshness and emotion to the show.

A Show for the Whole Family

Lasting 1h20 with an intermission, the show is accessible for ages 7 and up, making it an ideal event for families. Performances are preceded by a free introduction one hour before curtain-up, allowing spectators to better understand the show's universe. A children's workshop is also offered for ages 4-10.
