Pop au Parc: The Free Celebration of Contemporary Music in Sablé-sur-Sarthe
Since 2022, the Pop au Parc festival has established itself as the unmissable musical event of early summer in Sablé-sur-Sarthe. Supported by L'Entracte, a conventioned stage recognized for the quality of its programming, this entirely free event takes over the sumptuous Parc du Château for eclectic and festive evenings of contemporary music.
An Exceptional Setting for Open-Air Concerts
The Parc du Château de Sablé, with its centuries-old trees and its view of the Sarthe river, offers an exceptional natural setting for an open-air festival. As night falls on the ancient stones of the château, the stage lights up and the magic happens. The audience is carried away by sounds that travel from soul to reggae, from pop-folk to electro-techno, in an atmosphere that is both intimate and festive.
Eclecticism as a Signature
The strength of Pop au Parc lies in its eclectic programming. Each evening is a musical journey: you'll encounter soul artists like Tiwayo, pop-folk icons like Charlie Winston, reggae bands like the Ensemble National de Reggae, circus performances like Le Poids des Nuages, or powerful electro-techno sets. This diversity allows everyone—families, teenagers, seasoned music lovers—to find something they enjoy and discover unexpected musical worlds.
A Festival for All Generations
One of Pop au Parc's great successes is bringing all generations together. Sundays are often dedicated to dancing for all ages, creating a rare moment of intergenerational sharing in the festival landscape. The free nature of the event removes all barriers and allows as many people as possible to experience the open-air festival in a remarkable heritage setting.
