In 2026, the Respire Jazz Festival will not offer a full multi-day festival, but will organize a unique concert on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at the abbey of Puypéroux in Montmoreau. On the program: the ERA#P project by drummer Elie Martin-Charrière, preceded in the first part by the jazz workshop of the Conservatoire du GrandAngoulême directed by Pierre Aubert.
Respire Jazz Concert — June 20, 2026
For this year without a full festival, the Respire Jazz association has chosen to organize a special concert to remain present with its audience. The event is set for Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 8:30 PM at the abbey of Puypéroux, the festival's historic site in Sud Charente.
Elie Martin-Charrière's ERA#P project
The evening features the ERA#P project by young drummer Elie Martin-Charrière, surrounded by Nina Gat (piano), Christelle Raquillet (flute), and Elvin Bironien (double bass). A musical journey between contemporary jazz and improvised music.
First part: Conservatoire jazz workshop
Opening the evening, the jazz workshop of the Conservatoire du GrandAngoulême, directed by Pierre Aubert, offers a set that illustrates the work of transmission dear to Respire Jazz since its beginnings.

Access
The Respire Jazz Festival takes place at the former Puyperoux Abbey, Aignes-et-Puyperoux, 16190 Montmoreau, in Charente (Nouvelle-Aquitaine).
- By car: From Angouleme (20 km south), take the D674 towards Montmoreau then follow signs for Puyperoux.
- Parking: Free parking on site.

Jazz in the great outdoors in Sud Charente
For nearly two decades, the Respire Jazz Festival has established itself as a must-attend jazz event in Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Set in the green and intimate surroundings of the former Puyperoux Abbey (Saint-Gilles Abbey), about twenty kilometers south of Angouleme, the festival offers a unique setting to discover jazz in all its forms.
A demanding and open program
Under the artistic direction of guitarist Pierre Perchaud, the program focuses on taste, openness, and excellence. Jazz, improvised music, musical conferences, and jam sessions take place from Thursday to Sunday in a friendly atmosphere where artists and the public come together. Each evening is extended by a jam session where invited musicians and spectators meet in the warm ambiance of the venue.
