Summer jazz festival at the Cloître des Carmes
Jazz à Jonzac is a jazz festival that enlivens the summer evenings in Jonzac from late July to mid-September. The Cloître des Carmes hosts three exceptional concerts featuring international jazz greats: boogie-woogie, rhythm'n'blues, and swing with artists from Spain, Sweden, and France, in the heritage setting of a medieval cloister.
For many years, the town of Jonzac has organized three unmissable events for jazz lovers. The Jazz à Jonzac festival transforms the Cloître des Carmes, a magnificent medieval building in the heart of the town, into an intimate stage to host the biggest names in international jazz with exceptional acoustics.
From late July to mid-September, three musical evenings will punctuate the Jonzac summer at 9:15 PM. The 2025 program features the International Boogie Show Septet with David Giorcelli on piano, Ster Wax (Spain) and Ulf Sandstrom (Sweden) on piano and vocals, The Groovy Four Rhythm'n'Blues Quartet with Martin Burguez (Spain) on guitar, and a swing quintet led by Matthieu Bore (France) on piano and vocals. Three styles, three atmospheres, the same demand for musical excellence.
