When classical music meets the cognac houses

The Festi-Classique en Pays du Cognac festival was born in 2013 from the desire to combine two excellences: classical music and cognac. Founded by Jacques Baclet and Anne-Marie Molinié, the festival offers a series of concerts each year in the exceptional setting of the great cognac houses between Cognac and Jarnac.

Concerts in prestigious cellars and estates

The unique feature of Festi-Classique lies in its concert venues. The cellars, lounges, and gardens of the cognac houses are transformed into intimate concert halls: Maison Meukow in Cognac, Maison Courvoisier in Jarnac, Maison Thomas Hine in Jarnac, Maison Jean Fillioux, Domaine Pautier, and Maison Baron Otard. This alliance between wine heritage and musical excellence offers a unique experience to spectators.

Leading artists and young talents

The festival favors a high-level program, welcoming both established artists and young winners of international competitions. Piano, violin, cello, voice, harp, flute, guitar, trumpet, trombone, and chamber ensembles follow one another throughout the concerts. The 2024 edition featured concerts by Duo Papadopoulos, Emmanuel Lahoz and Antoine Guerrero, Simon Lebens and Hervé N'Kaoua, the Ensemble des Clarinettes de Paris, and Emmanuel Roosfelden.

A festival between Cognac and Jarnac

Festi-Classique unfolds over several weeks between late August and late September, with six to eight concerts spread across the different cognac houses. This extended program allows spectators to discover classical music in varied and intimate settings, enjoying the unique atmosphere of the Charente wine estates.
