FAB 2026 — 11th Edition
From September 26 to October 10, 2026, FAB returns for its 11th edition, taking over cultural venues and public spaces in Bordeaux Métropole with two weeks of contemporary creation: dance, theatre, circus, visual arts, music, and participatory performances.
Three Paths
The 2026 edition is organised around three thematic journeys:
- Following the River — choreographic and visual creations related to the Garonne and its tributaries.
- Inhabiting the City — shows and installations that transform streets, squares, and public spaces into stages open to all.
- Becoming Forest — in Saint-Médard-en-Jalles, exploration of the links between art, life, and the environment.
A Mediterranean Season
A highlight of the edition, the Mediterranean Season celebrates the creation and intercultural dialogue of artists from North Africa and the Middle East, with several French premieres.

FAB, an international showcase for the performing arts
FAB (Festival International des Arts de Bordeaux Métropole) is a major cultural event that unfolds every autumn in the cultural venues of the Bordeaux métropole. Created in 2016, it has become a major event for contemporary creation in just a few editions.
A multidisciplinary program
The festival offers a demanding program that combines theater, contemporary dance, circus, music, visual arts, and performances. The invited artists, both French and international, present original creations and innovative forms that question the contemporary world.
Numerous venues across the métropole
FAB takes over many venues in the métropole: the TnBA (Théâtre National de Bordeaux en Aquitaine), the CAPC, the Rock School Barbey, alternative venues, and public spaces. This geographical dispersion allows it to reach diverse audiences.
Meetings and debates
Beyond the shows, the festival offers meetings, debates, and workshops that extend the artistic experience and foster dialogue between artists and spectators.
