About Animasia Festival
Every year, the Animasia Festival brings together Asian cultures and pop culture at the Parc des Expositions in Bordeaux. Over a weekend in October, the event features cosplay competitions, concerts, martial arts demonstrations, conferences, and a village with hundreds of exhibitors. Established in 2005, the event has become one of France's premier gatherings dedicated to Asia, driven by volunteers, associations, and artists.
Animasia Festival — edition 2026
For its 22nd edition, the Animasia Festival returns to the Parc des Expositions de Bordeaux on October 10th and 11th, 2026. This year, South Korea takes center stage: the festival has received official recognition from the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in France as part of the 140th anniversary of friendship between France and Korea. Cosplay contests, K-pop concerts, martial arts demonstrations, and lectures will fill the weekend, alongside a village featuring over 230 exhibitors.
South Korea in the Spotlight
The 2026 edition celebrates 140 years of friendship between France and South Korea, with official support from the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in France. K-pop concerts, lectures on dramas, and demonstrations of Korean arts round out the program, alongside the festival's usual activities.

The festival is open on Saturday, October 10th, from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM and on Sunday, October 11th, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

A festival born in 2005
Organized by the Lenno team, the Animasia Festival has been gathering fans of Asian culture in the Bordeaux region since 2005. It relies on hundreds of volunteers, associations, and partners to offer a program that blends tradition with pop culture, including martial arts, performances, exhibitions, video games, and gastronomy.
