UBUNTUFEST brings together the cultures of Africa and its diaspora in Rennes through music, dance, gastronomy, crafts, and fashion. The festival's name is inspired by the word "ubuntu," which embodies the concept of shared humanity ("I am because we are").
Founded in 2021, the Ubuntu Festival association held its inaugural event on May 28, 2022, at the Salle de la Cité. The festival has since moved to the Mail François Mitterrand.
