The voices of the world at the Charlie Chaplin Center
Born in 2023 at the Charlie Chaplin Cultural Center in Vaulx-en-Velin, the Voix d'Autres Continents festival is a musical window opening onto the voices of the world, its languages, and its cultures. Every March, talented artists from different continents offer the public a captivating and diverse sound experience, blending jazz, rock, blues, Cuban music, Gnaoua, and many other sounds in a harmonious fusion of styles and cultures.
Since 2023, the Voix d'Autres Continents festival has been echoing the voices of the world at the Charlie Chaplin Cultural Center in Vaulx-en-Velin. This unique event brings together talented artists from different continents each March to offer the public a captivating and diverse sound experience.
The festival was born from the desire of the Charlie Chaplin Center to highlight global musical richness through the prism of the voice. Each edition features three to five evenings of concerts showcasing a harmonious fusion of styles and cultures—from African rhythms to Oriental melodies, including Cuban music, blues, rock, and Gnaoua.
The Charlie Chaplin Cultural Center, located at Place de la Nation in Vaulx-en-Velin, is the epicenter of cultural life in this dynamic town in the Lyon metropolitan area. As a major cultural facility, it hosts a rich program of shows, concerts, and events for all audiences throughout the year.
Over the years, the festival has hosted major artists such as Stephan Eicher, Catherine Ringer, Gnawa Diffusion, the Grupo Compay Segundo, and many others, alongside emerging talents to discover. Each evening is designed as a musical journey, driven by the power of the voice and the dialogue between cultures.
The Voix d'Autres Continents festival offers affordable prices, with tickets ranging from 6 to 26 euros depending on the concert. The Charlie Chaplin Center has a free, video-monitored car park and is easily accessible by public transport from Lyon.

Each evening starts at 8 PM. The Charlie Chaplin Center becomes the epicenter of mixed music for three nights.

By public transport: TCL bus lines 57, C3, and C8, stop Vaulx Hôtel de Ville Campus (2 min walk). Metro line A, stop Vaulx-en-Velin La Soie, then bus.
