Music and Ecology Festival at Bois de Vincennes
Founded in 2011 by Marie Sabot, We Love Green has established itself in a few editions as the unmissable event for the eco-responsible music scene in France. Born from a deep conviction that culture can be a vector for ecological transformation, the festival has successfully united a discerning audience, sensitive to environmental issues as well as the quality of the artistic program.
Located on the Plaine de la Belle Étoile, in the heart of Bois de Vincennes in Paris's 12th arrondissement, We Love Green transforms this natural space into an ephemeral village each year, where music lovers, environmental activists, artists, and thinkers meet. The festival welcomes over 100,000 festival-goers over three days, confirming its status as a major Parisian music event.
The strength of We Love Green lies in its ability to offer an eclectic and ambitious program, mixing international headliners and discoveries. From Gorillaz to Charli XCX, from LCD Soundsystem to Charlotte de Witte, the festival embraces all genres: pop, electro, hip-hop, indie, soul, world music. Several stages coexist in the park, offering varied atmospheres, from large spectacular shows to intimate electronic sets in the heart of nature.
Over the years, the festival has hosted major artists such as Björk, The Chemical Brothers, Frank Ocean, Solange, Bon Iver, Tyler, the Creator, Disclosure, and Aya Nakamura, establishing an international reputation that rivals the biggest European festivals.
We Love Green is not a music festival that engages in "greenwashing": environmental commitment permeates every aspect of the event. The festival was the first in France to obtain the ISO 20121 certification for responsible event management. Concrete initiatives include: 100% local and seasonal food, prohibition of single-use plastics, dry toilets, scenography made from recycled materials, solar energy, and transparent carbon footprint reporting.
Beyond music, We Love Green offers a program of conferences and debates called Think Tank, bringing together researchers, entrepreneurs, artists, and activists around major contemporary climate and social issues. Artistic installations related to nature punctuate the festival-goers' journey, and a responsible gastronomic village highlights short supply chains and plant-based cuisine.
By combining artistic excellence and ecological responsibility, We Love Green has paved the way for a new generation of festivals. Its influence is measured as much by the quality of its programming as by the impact of its commitments on the entire French and European event sector. The festival continues to innovate each year, pushing the boundaries of what a sustainable cultural event can be in the 21st century.
The 14th edition of We Love Green takes place from Friday, June 5 to Sunday, June 7, 2026 at the Plaine de la Belle Étoile, in the Bois de Vincennes. Three days of music and ecological commitment with a dense international lineup: Gorillaz headlining on Friday, Theodora and Addison Rae on Saturday, and The xx closing on Sunday. Over 100 concerts and DJ sets are spread across five stages (La Prairie, La Clairière, La Canopée, Lalaland, Think Tank), complemented by conferences, a comedy stage, a responsible gastronomic village, and artistic installations.
