Apéro en Live: The festival that makes Fors vibrate

Since 2019, the small village of Fors, located about fifteen kilometers south of Niort in the Deux-Sèvres region, has hosted an unmissable open-air music festival every June. Apéro en Live was born from the desire of a group of passionate volunteers, united within the association Fors en Live, to offer an accessible and unifying musical event in the heart of rural Deux-Sèvres.

A simple and effective concept

The concept is as simple as it is appealing: on a Friday evening in June, the Fors fairground transforms into a large open-air stage featuring bands playing reggae, ska, rock, and world music. The atmosphere is that of a giant aperitif with friends, where concerts are enjoyed with feet in the grass, a local drink in hand, with family or friends. Admission remains intentionally affordable to allow as many people as possible to enjoy the evening.

A growing program

Over the years, Apéro en Live has enriched its program by inviting renowned bands from the French reggae and ska scene, while also making ample room for discoveries and emerging artists from the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. The festival has notably hosted groups such as Neg'Marrons (hip-hop/reggae), Strollad (Celtic ska), Andrick Airways (reggae), and Spelim (dread pop), confirming its growing presence on the independent festival circuit.

A proud rural roots

Apéro en Live proudly claims its rural roots. Located in a village of less than 2,000 inhabitants, the festival plays an essential role in the cultural life of the southern Niort region and contributes to local associative dynamism. The volunteers of Fors en Live manage the organization from A to Z: stage setup, bar, catering with local products, parking management, and audience reception. This human and participatory dimension is the event's charm.

Practical and Family-friendly

Free for children under 12, Apéro en Live focuses on accessibility to attract a family and intergenerational audience. On-site catering favors short supply chains and local producers, in a spirit of conviviality and sharing. The festival takes place over a single evening, generally the third Friday in June, from late afternoon until the heart of the night.
