The humor festival that warms up winter
Created in 2003 by Farid Bouabdellah, ArcomiK is the humor festival of Saint-Étienne and its metropolis. Every year in February, for about ten days, the festival offers a varied humorous program oscillating between confirmed artists and emerging talents. Having become an unmissable event in the Saint-Étienne cultural landscape, ArcomiK has established itself as a popular, supportive, and intergenerational event, welcoming national headliners while offering a showcase for young comedians through its "My Region Has Humor" and "l'Arcomedy Klub" platforms. The festival unfolds across several towns in the Loire region — Saint-Étienne, Le Chambon-Feugerolles, Firminy, Rive-de-Gier, Saint-Paul-en-Jarez, La Talaudière — and takes over emblematic venues such as the Centre des Congrès de Saint-Étienne, the Comédie de Saint-Étienne, Le Firmament in Firminy, and the Salle Jean Dasté in Rive-de-Gier. Over the years, the festival has hosted renowned artists such as Florence Foresti, Anne Roumanoff, Pablo Mira, and many others.
Since 2003, the ArcomiK festival has brought its dose of energy, good humor, and punchlines to Saint-Étienne and the towns of the Saint-Étienne metropolis every winter. Founded by Farid Bouabdellah, ArcomiK was born in a district of Saint-Étienne with the ambition of making humor accessible to all and keeping the comedy scene alive in the Loire region.
ArcomiK's hallmark is its intergenerational programming, blending established artists from the French comedy scene with promising emerging talents. From hard-hitting stand-up to intimate one-man shows, including improvised formats and multi-artist showcases, the offering is diverse and designed for a broad audience. Throughout its editions, the festival has hosted top-tier artists such as Florence Foresti, Anne Roumanoff, Pablo Mira, Panayotis Pascot, Nawell Madani, Issa Doumbia, Bérengère Krief, Philippe Lellouche, and many others.
ArcomiK is actively committed to supporting young talent through two flagship initiatives: the "Ma Région a de l'humour" platform, which highlights emerging comedians from the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, and "l'Arcomedy Klub", a space for discovering and showcasing new faces in comedy. These initiatives make the festival a true springboard for the next generation of comedians.
True to its philosophy, ArcomiK aims to be a supportive and popular festival. In partnership with organizations like Temporis and Histya, the festival carries out inclusion and professional integration actions. The Arcomedy Klub, in particular, offers workshops for job seekers and audiences distant from cultural offerings. Cultural activities — video workshops, beatbox initiation, free karaoke — complement the program and strengthen the festival's roots in the local social fabric.
ArcomiK is not confined to Saint-Étienne: the festival extends its reach across the entire Saint-Étienne metropolis and beyond, taking over venues and cultural spaces in several towns in the Loire region. The Centre des Congrès de Saint-Étienne, the Comédie de Saint-Étienne, Le Firmament in Firminy, the Salle Jean Dasté in Rive-de-Gier, La Forge in Le Chambon-Feugerolles, and the Salle Muriel Robin in Saint-Paul-en-Jarez are among the venues regularly used by the festival. This territorial presence helps to energize the cultural life of the surrounding towns and make humor accessible to the widest possible audience.
The 23rd edition of the ArcomiK festival takes place from February 11 to 21, 2026. The Saint-Étienne humor festival once again takes over the Centre des Congrès de Saint-Étienne and several towns in the metropolis, with a program blending established artists and emerging talents. Among the headliners: Anne Roumanoff, Nawell Madani, Sandrine Sarroche, Bun Hay Mean, the Jamel Comedy Club, Pierre Thevenoux, Viktor Vincent, and Caroline Estremo. The festival expands for the first time to La Talaudière and develops a year-round program with shows outside the festival.

The 2026 edition features an exceptional lineup with Anne Roumanoff on February 19 at the Centre des Congrès, Nawell Madani, Sandrine Sarroche, Bun Hay Mean, Pierre Thevenoux, Viktor Vincent (mentalist), and Caroline Estremo. A major new feature of this edition: the festival expands for the first time to La Talaudière, with a show by Melissa et Fred at Le Sou on February 20. This expansion demonstrates ArcomiK's growing influence across the Saint-Étienne metropolis.
