About Bacchus Festival

Created in 2022, the Bacchus Festival is the first 100% epicurean and 100% short-circuit festival in France, set in the enchanting grounds of the Parc du Château de Valmy in Argelès-sur-Mer. For three days in early June, the festival combines Roussillon wines, local short-circuit gastronomy, and high-quality concerts with a view of the Mediterranean. The exhibitor village is chosen by lottery among local winemakers and producers, ensuring permanent renewal and fair representation of the Roussillon terroir.

Bacchus Festival: The Alliance of Wines, Gastronomy, and Music

Since 2022, the Bacchus Festival has brought together the excellence of the Roussillon terroir and music in the sumptuous setting of the Château de Valmy park in Argelès-sur-Mer. This unique festival defines itself as 100% epicurean and 100% short-circuit, a philosophy that distinguishes it from other French festivals.

Château de Valmy: An Exceptional Setting

The festival takes place in the Château de Valmy park, a historic wine estate perched on the heights of Argelès-sur-Mer, offering a spectacular panoramic view of the Mediterranean and the Catalan coast. This enchanting setting, between vineyards and sea, creates a unique atmosphere for enjoying wines, gastronomy, and music. The capacity is deliberately reduced, and the configuration is entirely standing, with free placement.

Roussillon Wines in the Spotlight

The heart of the Bacchus Festival beats to the rhythm of Roussillon wines. An exhibitors' village of 21 winemakers selected by drawing lots ensures fair representation and a permanent renewal of the Roussillon vineyard. Visitors can taste and discover the emblematic appellations of the region: Collioure, Banyuls, Côtes du Roussillon, Maury, Rivesaltes, and many others.

Short-Circuit Gastronomy

True to its 100% short-circuit philosophy, the festival offers catering exclusively composed of local products. The dining areas highlight producers and artisans from the Catalan region, providing an authentic and responsible gastronomic experience.

Three Evenings of Concerts with Sea View

Each evening, three concerts follow one another on a stage with a view of the Mediterranean. The program mixes headliners of French song, international artists, and emerging talents, in a festive and friendly atmosphere. The Bacchus Festival has quickly established itself as an unmissable early summer event in the Pyrénées-Orientales.

Bacchus Festival — edition 2026

The 5th edition of the Bacchus Festival takes place from June 4th to 6th, 2026 at Château de Valmy in Argelès-sur-Mer. On the program: three evenings of concerts facing the sea with Vanessa Paradis, Kyo, Ben Mazué, Claudio Capéo, Lilly Wood and The Prick, Skip The Use, Suzane, Bon Entendeur and Bess, a village of 21 Roussillon winemakers and 100% short-circuit catering.

5th Edition — June 4th to 6th, 2026

The Bacchus Festival returns from Thursday, June 4th to Saturday, June 6th, 2026 to the Château de Valmy park for its 5th edition. On the program: 9 concerts spread over three evenings, a village of 21 Roussillon winemakers selected by draw, 100% short-circuit catering areas, and a stage with a view of the Mediterranean.

The 100% Epicurean, 100% Short-Circuit Philosophy

For this 5th edition, the festival remains true to its DNA: music, wines, and local gastronomy in an exceptional setting. The capacity is voluntarily reduced, with standing room only and free placement, to preserve the convivial spirit of previous editions.
