The first 100% epicurean and 100% short-circuit festival in Roussillon
Created in 2022, the Bacchus Festival is the first 100% epicurean and 100% short-circuit festival in France, set in the enchanting grounds of the Parc du Château de Valmy in Argelès-sur-Mer. For three days in early June, the festival combines Roussillon wines, local short-circuit gastronomy, and high-quality concerts with a view of the Mediterranean. The exhibitor village is chosen by lottery among local winemakers and producers, ensuring permanent renewal and fair representation of the Roussillon terroir.
Since 2022, the Bacchus Festival has brought together the excellence of the Roussillon terroir and music in the sumptuous setting of the Château de Valmy in Argelès-sur-Mer. This unique festival is defined as 100% epicurean and 100% short-circuit, a philosophy that sets it apart from all other festivals in France.
The festival takes place in the park of Château de Valmy, a historic wine estate perched on the heights of Argelès-sur-Mer, offering a spectacular panoramic view of the Mediterranean and the Catalan coast. This enchanting setting, between vineyards and sea, creates a unique atmosphere to savor wines, gastronomy, and music.
The heart of the Bacchus Festival beats to the rhythm of Roussillon wines. An exhibitor village hosts winemakers selected by lottery, ensuring fair and diverse representation of the Roussillon vineyards. Visitors can taste and discover the emblematic appellations of the territory: Collioure, Banyuls, Côtes du Roussillon, Maury, Rivesaltes, and many others.
True to its 100% short-circuit philosophy, the festival offers catering exclusively composed of local products. The catering areas highlight producers and artisans from the Catalan territory, offering an authentic and responsible gastronomic experience.
Each evening, three concerts follow one another on a stage with a view of the Mediterranean. The programming mixes French chanson headliners, international artists, and emerging talents, in a festive and friendly atmosphere. The Bacchus Festival has quickly established itself as an unmissable summer event in the Pyrénées-Orientales.
The 5th edition of the Bacchus Festival will take place from June 4 to 6, 2026, at Château de Valmy in Argelès-sur-Mer. Among the announced artists are Vanessa Paradis, Kyo, Ben Mazué, Claudio Capéo, Lilly Wood and the Prick, Skip the Use, Suzane, Bon Entendeur, and Bess.
