About Bordures
Bordures — edition 2026
Bordures & Alentours Festival — 10th edition (2026)
The 10th edition of the Bordures Festival took place from May 13 to 22, 2026, deployed for the first time under the name Bordures & Alentours across four communes in the Redon region: Langon, Beslé, Pipriac, and Redon.
Around twenty events
This anniversary edition celebrated a taste for sound experiments and hybridizations between improvised music, written music, traditional oral repertoires, and contemporary creations. More than twenty proposals punctuated these ten days, from the pre-festival on April 29 with Erwan Keravec in Saint-Nicolas-de-Redon to the grand sung fest-noz closing with Danyèl Waro in Redon on May 22.
Headliners
Among the invited artists: Danyèl Waro (Réunion maloya), Louis Sclavis & Benjamin Moussay (contemporary jazz), François Corneloup & Serge Teyssot-Gay (Matière noire), Winter Family, OTTO, Robin Fincker & Janick Martin, Fidel Fourneyron Trio Oko, Erwan Keravec, Noémi Boutin, Camille Émaille, Bobo & Behaja, Marsa and many others.
An expanded geography
The 2026 edition marked the transition to a multi-site format: Salle des menhirs, Salle des demoiselles and Chapelle Saint-Joseph in Langon, La Galerie de Beslé, Îlot de la Minoterie in Pipriac, Le Carré 9 in Redon. This new geography inaugurates the annual project Bordures & Alentours, which now offers events throughout the year in the territory.

Bordures Festival in Langon
The Bordures & Alentours Festival takes place in Langon, 15 minutes from Redon, 40 minutes from Rennes, and 50 minutes from Nantes, in Ille-et-Vilaine. Initiated in 2015 by François-Xavier Ruan, a concert programmer and native of Langon, the festival was born from the desire to introduce emerging and established artists in a rural area away from cultural routes.
10 years in 2026: an expanding festival
For its tenth anniversary, in May 2026, Bordures expands into Bordures & Alentours and extends its concerts beyond Langon, to four communes in the Redon region: Langon, Beslé, Pipriac, and Redon. Around twenty musical events celebrate a taste for sound experiments and hybridizations between improvised music, written music, traditional oral repertoires, and contemporary creations.
An optimistic festival
Bordures is an optimistic festival that believes in artistic and cultural exchanges outside dedicated highways. The event is committed to promoting diverse and unclassifiable artistic proposals, from European jazz to world music, including contemporary performances. The program reflects the team's open-mindedness and musical curiosity, featuring artists such as François Corneloup, Serge Teyssot-Gay, Louis Sclavis, Danyèl Waro, and Winter Family.
A locally rooted association
The Bordures association (loi 1901) is chaired by François Meuret, with artistic direction provided by Gérald Martin, surrounded by a production manager, a secretary, a treasurer, and numerous volunteers. The festival takes place in various locations: village hall (salle des fêtes), menhir hall (salle des menhirs), demoiselles hall (salle des demoiselles), Saint-Joseph chapel (chapelle Saint-Joseph), secret outdoor locations…
Institutional support
The festival benefits from the support of the Ministry of Culture – Drac Bretagne, the Ille-et-Vilaine department, Redon Agglomération, the commune of Langon, ONDA, Sacem, and Spedidam.
