About Festival TNB
The TNB Festival is the major multidisciplinary event organized every autumn by the Théâtre National de Bretagne, in Rennes. For about two weeks in November, mainly from Wednesday to Saturday, the festival brings together nearly twenty proposals mixing theatre, dance, opera, music, cinema and visual arts, featuring contemporary creations and internationally renowned artists, at the TNB and in several partner venues in the Rennes metropolitan area.
Festival TNB — edition 2026
For its final edition under the artistic direction of Arthur Nauzyciel, the TNB Festival brings together nearly twenty theater, dance, and film productions from November 17 to 28, 2026, at the Théâtre National de Bretagne and a dozen partner venues across the Rennes metropolitan area. Wajdi Mouawad will present Le Serment d’Europe with Juliette Binoche, alongside new works by Pascal Rambert, Stanislas Nordey, Latifa Laâbissi, and Tania de Montaigne.
A Transitional Edition for the TNB Festival
The TNB Festival returns from November 17 to 28, 2026, with a break between November 22 and 23 and a special return of Le Serment d’Europe on Tuesday, November 24. The Théâtre National de Bretagne presents this as the final edition of the cycle led by director Arthur Nauzyciel, who has shaped the festival since 2017 as a distillation of his artistic vision.
Nearly twenty productions will take place at the TNB (Vilar, Serreau, Parigot, and Paradis halls) and off-site: Salle Gabily, Le Garage, Le Triangle - Cité de la danse, the CCN de Rennes et de Bretagne, La Paillette MJC, Lillico, the Théâtre de Poche in Hédé-Bazouges, the Théâtre L’Aire Libre in Saint-Jacques-de-la-Lande, and the Centre Culturel Jacques Duhamel in Vitré.
Headliners and New Works
Wajdi Mouawad presents Le Serment d’Europe, starring Juliette Binoche. The program also features Le Silence by Guillaume Poix and Lorraine de Sagazan, Kotatsu by Pascal Rambert and Oriza Hirata (Japanese-language show with subtitles), Madame de Sade directed by Stanislas Nordey, Rien n’est su by Sabine Garrigues and Audrey Bonnet, and Sensibilités by Tania de Montaigne. The young audience program includes Buchettino by Chiara Guidi and Danser ensemble by Alice Davazoglou in partnership with Le Triangle.
TRANSMISSION Program and Adapted Creation
Beyond the performances, the festival organizes workshops and masterclasses bringing together around sixty young professional artists from France and abroad, as well as students from international schools. A dedicated thread for adapted creation takes the form of the EXTRA-ORDINAIRE initiative, supported in partnership with the CNCA of Morlaix since 2024.
