The Fougères Agglomération Youth Book Fair

Organized by the Fougères Agglomération media library network, the Fougères Youth Book Fair is a major literary event dedicated to literature for children and teenagers. It takes place every year in mid-November, over four days, at Espace Aumaillerie, in Fougères (Ille-et-Vilaine, Brittany).

An event for the whole family

The fair welcomes about thirty youth authors and illustrators, whose works are published by an editor, for book signing sessions, writing and illustration workshops, readings, and shows. The first two days are dedicated to school meetings (several thousand students from the area); the weekend is open to all audiences. Admission to the fair is free, only certain youth shows are paid.

An event rooted in the territory

Beyond Espace Aumaillerie, the fair extends its reach to the agglomeration's media libraries with decentralized exhibitions and workshop-meetings. Edition after edition, it has established itself as one of the major youth book fairs in the West, attracting several thousand visitors.
